Cancellation Policy

At The Wright Physio our goal is to provide quality health care to all our patients in a timely manner. We know your time is valuable, ours is too and we understand that sometimes, unexpected circumstances occur causing schedule changes. Out of respect for our staff and fellow patients, we ask that you call or email the practice as soon as you know you will not be able to attend your appointment.

If rescheduling or cancellation is necessary, we respectfully request that you call or email at least 12 hours in advance of your appointment. Appointments are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another patient access to that appointment time.

Our policy

• Any cancellation or reschedule made less than 12 hours may result in a cancellation fee. The amount will be equal to 50% of the booked service/s.

• If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we may not be able to accommodate you. In this case, the same cancellation fee may apply. We will do our very best to reschedule your appointment for another time that is convenient to you.

• A no-show is when a patient misses an appointment without notice. In this case, the same cancellation fee may apply.

• Patients who consistently fail to attend appointments, reschedule, or cancel with less than 12 hours’ notice will be asked to pay in advance for future appointments.   

PAYMENT METHODS

• Payment by cash, EFTPOS or credit card (MasterCard, Visa & AMEX) is accepted.

• HICAPS on the spot rebates available at both clinics through your private health insurance provider. Physiotherapy consultations (500 & 505) and Remedial Massage treatment (205) is covered, so you only need to pay the gap.

• Please bring your private health insurance card or have the digital card logged in on your phones app to be able to claim on the spot rebates. Digital cards are only offered by select health funds. Please check with your insurer for coverage.

• If you forget to bring your private health insurance card, we will provide you with in invoice so you can claim directly with your insurer.

• Workers Compensation & CTP consultations are invoiced directly to the insurer.

• DVA consultations are invoiced directly to Department of Veterans’ Affairs

Medicare

• Patients experiencing a chronic injury of 6 months or longer may be entitled to Medicare physiotherapy benefits.

• To be eligible for Medicare physiotherapy benefits, patients must first be seen by their GP. If eligible the GP will provide you with a treatment plan and referral to attend the clinic for treatment.

• Medicare subsidises up to 5 physiotherapy sessions annually, under GP Chronic Disease Management Plans and Team Care Arrangements. Medicare provides a rebate of $56.00 per session (item 10960).

• Please note we do not bulk bill. Payment will need to be paid for at the time of treatment. To assist you The Wright Physio will claim the Medicare rebate your behalf.

• If you have private health insurance and a Medicare plan, you must elect to use either your private health insurance or Medicare plan for your treatment. You cannot claim both benefits for the same consultation.
